Tournament Director and Certified Ultimate Long Drive Trainer, Kevin Porter can add VP of Operations, Ultimate Long Drive, Inc to his resume. Effective immediately, Porter will assume responsibility for managing all tournament operations, tournament directors, and more.
Myrtle Beach, SC –On the heels of the company’s 2022 National Championship event, Ultimate Long Drive, Inc, President and CEO Jeff Gilder named Kevin Porter (KP) to the new position of Vice President of Operations. “There’s no one more qualified than KP to do this job”, said Gilder. “In reality he’s been doing much of it for some time. He has the passion for our sport that is absolutely necessary. And the experience to help us take it forward.”
Kevin’s love for the sport of long drive started as a competitor in the Remax Long Drive series during the 1990s. He began competing in ULD in 2019 and licensed the Mid-Atlantic League as Tournament Director shortly thereafter. Kevin later became one of the company’s first certified ULD Academy trainers. The Mid-Atlantic League, encompassing Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland, has become the most active League in the U.S. with the highest participation level and a number of championship contenders in the ULD organization.
ULD is currently the largest long drive organization in the world, both in terms of members and the number of events held. The company conducts professional and amateur events for all ages and abilities with age division ranging form 7U to 75+.
