Scheduled to open in January 2010, the club will serve as the new home to the tour’s Valero Texas Open. … The Brunswick Isles Golf Trail, located along the northern coast of South Carolina and the southern coast of North Carolina, is offering fall golf packages that start at $182 per person. The Wyndham Championship unveils a new advertising campaign produced by WilsonMcGuire Creative. The tournament’s new ad campaign features a Wyndham Championship golf ball in multiple parts of the Piedmont Triad with the caption, “Big Time Golf Hits the Triad.” The tournament is set for Aug. 20-23 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Also, Brian Gay, David Duval, Webb Simpson and Bill Haas commit to play in the tournament. … Seventy junior golfers from The First Tee have been selected to play in the Champions Tour’s Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, Sept. 4-6.
