The Arizona Women’s Golf Association will hold its Annual Meeting and Recognition Dinner, Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Phoenix Country Club. The association will recognize the following: Player of the Year — Tui Selvaratnam; Senior Player of the Year — Barbara Byrnes; AWGA Representative of the Year — Evie Hill; AWGA Volunteer of the Year — Pat Trimbell; and Host Club of the Year — The Refuge at Lake Havasu. … Dunning Golf will introduce its Fall 2007 collection that includes Tour Stretch outerwear featuring c_change technology, at the PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 25-27, in Orlando, Fla. …

Rod Myers, head men’s golf coach at Duke, has been named the recipient of the Labron Harris Sr. Award. The Harris Award is presented to the college or high school coach and PGA Professional whose support of the game through teaching, coaching and involvement in the community has helped ensure the continued growth of the game and represents the finest qualities the game has to offer. "It’s a great honor to be recognized as both a PGA member and a GCAA member," Myers said. "I’m one of the few coaches that is old enough to have coached against Labron Harris and am fully aware of the contributions he made to the game, not only as a member of the PGA, but primarily as a collegiate coach. To win an award in his name is pretty special." … The American Junior Golf Association announces that the I.R.I./Srixon Mixed Team Championship, hosted by Jim Furyk, will be May 4-6 at Arizona National Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz. … Victoria Hills Golf Club in Deland, Fla., will welcome race fans visiting the Daytona area for "Speedweeks 2007," Feb. 10-18.
