U.S. KIDS GOLF ANNOUNCES NEW DIVISION TO LOCAL TOURS FOR PLAYERS AGED 15-18
(PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA) – U.S. Kids Golf, the world’s largest tournament organization, is proud to announce that Local Tours around the world will now offer a division for players aged 15-18 years old. Select markets will open entry to this new age division beginning with the start of the Summer Tour series in late May.Players will compete as part of the currently scheduled Local Tour tournaments.
Chris Vonderkall, Vice President of U.S. Kids Golf Tournaments explains, “This has been one of the most requested changes to our Tournaments Division. This change to Local Tour events fills a need for these players and families who like the structure, the desire to stay close to home, and the overall atmosphere of what our events provide.”
Players competing in this new age bracket will also earn Priority Status, both through a season-long points race and their scores through Local Tour events. Their status can earn entry into multiple-day events around the world, including the European Championship, Panama Invitational, Venice Open, South American Championship, and Caribbean Championship.
Top performers will garner an invitation to the U.S. Kids Golf World Teen Championship held each summer at Pinehurst Resort.
