U.S. Kids Golf Coaches Institute Offering Virtual Level 1 Certified Coach Seminars
Four online seminars scheduled for May 2020
PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA – The U.S. Kids Golf Coaches Institute will offer four Virtual Level 1 Certified Coach Seminars during the month of May. Each seminar costs $95 ($125 – International participants) for the full-day session and provides participants with tools and best practices for developing young players in the game. PGA and LPGA Professionals will also earn Continuing Education credits for participating.
“Since 2012, nearly 5,000 participants from over 40 nations have joined us for in-person training. Throughout this time, we have had requests to make the training available online in order to serve even more coaches, worldwide. With the global pandemic and its resulting restrictions, we saw this as the time to be creative and make use of available technology,” said John Bryan, Vice President of the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation’s Coaches Institute. “In presenting these seminars “live online” we are able to provide web-based training while also encouraging the interaction that takes place when we are in person.”
Online seminars allow coaches from around the country and the world, who often had to make accommodations for travel and a location that worked, to earn this distinction and be a part of the world’s largest kids golf coach organization.
Since 2012, U.S. Kids Golf Coaches Institute has presented to over 4,600 teaching professionals in more than 150 locations in the United States, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, England, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Panama, Scotland, and South Africa.
In this time, over 3,200 teaching professionals have completed the steps required to become a U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach.
The four Virtual Level 1 Certified Coach Seminars are scheduled for:
Tuesday, May 5th (8:30-3:30 Pacific Time)
Monday, May 11th (8:30-3:30 Mountain Time)

About U.S. Kids Golf
U.S. Kids Golf, LLC was started in 1996 as a solution to the problem its founder, Dan Van Horn, experienced when trying to get his children, ages 5 and 8, into golf. “They were enthusiastic at first, but their interest quickly dropped. They weren’t having fun,” Van Horn recalls. At the time, I didn’t realize that cut-offs and junior clubs were so heavy; they were not only hurting my kids’ swings, but also their desire to play.”
That’s when the former golf professional and engineer began developing Ultralight kids clubs, which were designed to be 25% lighter than adult and most junior clubs, and he formed the company, U.S. Kids Golf. Since then, parents and pros around the world have seen the incredible difference that lightweight and correctly fit clubs have made in their young player’s swing and enthusiasm for the game. Today, the company is the world’s leading provider of equipment.
To help advance the U.S. Kids Golf mission, the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation was established in 2001 to conduct youth golf tournaments and guide the development of youth golf around the world. The foundation is comprised of two major operating groups: The Tournament Players Association (TPA) and The Coaches Institute. Since 2001, the Foundation has positively impacted over 1,000,000 youth golfers. This impact resonates far beyond golf, strengthening families and improving communities.
