USA GRASS GOLF TO BE INTRODUCED AT PGA MERCHANDISE SHOW
NEW YORK, January 13, 2020 — USA Grass Golf, a new, easy to play hybrid version of the classic sport, will be introduced at the 2020 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Jan. 21-24. Using only one club on a layout set up in a much smaller area than a traditional golf course, USA Grass Golf is an inexpensive, faster way for golf fans of all ages to play, learn and enjoy the game.
USA Grass Golf is similar to the popular Japanese version of Park Golf played at more than 1,000 courses by more than a million people in Japan. It is a driving and putting game that is very easy to learn. A course can be set up anywhere there is land. Manicured greens are not required and players don’t need a bag full of expensive clubs. Many of the top tier club manufacturers such as Callaway sell extensive lines of Park Golf clubs internationally at prices comparable to the most expensive drivers used in traditional golf.
“We are excited to announce a great new way to play and enjoy golf for people of all ages and abilities,” said Gary Livesay, who founded USA Grass Golf in 2018. “Youngsters will have fun learning the basics of the game, while older or more experienced golfers can play a streamlined, much less expensive game in a shorter amount of time.”
The equipment used in USA Grass Golf includes a no loft club similar to a fairway wood; a 2 ¼ inch plastic golf ball; an eight inch quick-cup portable hole; Fiberglass Flag Stick; In-ground flag stick holder; and an 8’ x 5” flag available in multiple colors. An eight inch in-ground plastic cup is also available.
USA Grass Golf is played on a course with any number of holes that are a maximum of 101 yards long. The greens are designed to have a portable hole and flag or a fixed cup and flag. Grass Golf is perfect for schools, park and recreation departments, RV parks, resorts, youth clubs, senior centers and family gatherings
