Golf Channel Continues Coverage of KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and Exclusive Presentations of Senior PGA Championship and PGA Professional Championship
STAMFORD, Conn., and FRISCO, Texas – USA Sports and the PGA of America have extended their media rights agreement through 2033, inclusive of the Ryder Cup, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship, and the PGA Professional Championship.
The extension of the current agreement, which runs through 2031, is highlighted by USA Sports’ live coverage of the 2033 Ryder Cup at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif., which will air on USA Network. Golf Channel will continue to present live coverage of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship and PGA Professional Championship in 2032 and 2033.
The current agreement with the PGA of America was made prior to VERSANT’s spin-off from NBCUniversal. This new extension also marks the continuation of NBC Sports’ relationship with the PGA of America, which will include coverage of the 2033 Ryder Cup and 2032 and 2033 KPMG Women’s PGA Championships on NBC and Peacock.
“USA Sports has a rich history with the PGA of America and the Ryder Cup, dating back to USA Network’s exclusive live coverage of the 1989 Ryder Cup at The Belfry,” said Matt Hong, President of USA Sports. “We’re proud to extend our partnership with the PGA of America and NBC Sports, continuing USA Network’s legacy with the Ryder Cup and showcasing the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, the Senior PGA Championship, and the PGA Professional Championship on Golf Channel to viewers across the United States.”
“Extending our partnership with NBC Sports and USA Sports through 2033 reflects the strength of our collaboration and our shared vision for the future of the game,” said Terry Clark, PGA of America CEO. “Together, we will deliver comprehensive coverage of the Ryder Cup, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship and PGA Professional Championship, presenting each at the highest level while elevating our major championships and marquee events as defining stages for the game, our partners and the communities we serve. We will continue showcasing the exceptional talent of PGA of America Golf Professionals and celebrating the very best in championship golf.”
Through the duration of the agreement, USA Sports’ history with the Ryder Cup will extend nearly 45 years, beginning in 1989 when USA Network aired exclusive live three-day coverage of the Ryder Cup at The Belfry in England. Last September’s coverage of the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black on USA Network delivered the most-watched Day One of the event since 2012, averaging nearly 2 million viewers for the 11-hour window. The Ryder Cup is part of USA Sports’ robust portfolio of prestigious golf events on USA Network, which include the U.S. Open, the U.S. Women’s Open, The Open Championship, and the AIG Women’s Open.
Golf Channel – the TV home of golf in the United States and the first-ever single-sport network in history – will continue to surround the Ryder Cup with its critically acclaimed Live From the Ryder Cup studio show, while Golf Central will continue to provide live on-site studio coverage for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and deliver news and analysis surrounding the Senior PGA Championship and PGA Professional Championship.
