Updates On 2019 USGC National Championship
The United States Golf Challenge sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka™ and The Legends Resort announced that the 2019 USGC National Championship will be contested over The Legends 3 signature courses September 12-14, 2019 at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Over 120 teams qualified from around the USA in local one-day National Qualifiers, with approximately 60 two-player teams expected to enter. 8 teams will emerge as National Champions from 2 age divisions and 4 flights.
Teams will play 3 formats in 3 days of competition; four-ball (best-ball) on the Tom Doaks designed Heathland, foursomes (modified alternate shot) on the P.B. Dye Moorland and individual stroke play on the Larry Young Parkland.
The 8 championship winning teams will have earned their way on to Team USA 2020.
Team USA will compete against Team Ireland in the 5th annual International King’s Cup™ to be played May 27-29, 2020 at Northern Ireland’s Castlerock Golf Club, just miles from Royal Portrush, site of the2019 Open Championship.
The International King’s Cup is an annual Ryder Cup® style competition held in honor of golf’s greatest ambassador – Mr. Arnold Palmer.
