The eclectic equipment and apparel brand have partnered with the premium range technology company for a unique, first of its kind competition
For the first time ever, players in the USA and Europe will be able to ‘play for their region’ in a territory vs territory showdown at their local Inrange® driving range.
As the golf world gets ready for The Ryder Cup in Rome later this year, Inrange® Golf have set up a 6 hole golf tournament within their driving range software, that will see players head to the range and set a score that counts towards their overall territory (USA or Europe) score. This intercontinental competition is sure to excite players to take part and represent their range and region.
The winning territory at the end will be determined by the region with the lowest aggregate score over the 6 holes, and with bragging rights (and prizes) on the line, it’s all to play for.
Russell Tindale, Customer Success Manager at Inrange had this to say about the competition:
“We’re always looking for new ways to encourage players to head to the range, but more importantly, add a competitive and pressure adding element to their practice sessions. Just hitting balls isn’t going to help players gain on-course confidence to make the shots that matter. Serious golfers want to be challenged, and they want to compete. Having Vice on board offers a great incentive for players to take part in this first of its kind event”.
The Vice brand has always been forward thinking when it comes to partnerships and activations for players, and this is a whole new level that sees them enter the ‘virtual driving range’ space for the first time. The brand is well known for creating quirky collectors boxes that come packed with branded golf goodies – usually offered to mark special occasions.
The two brands will launch their co-branded competition from September 1st and players who take part will be able to return as many times as they like (until competition ends at close of business on September 30th) to set their lowest score and help their region win.
This joint-venture is one of many exciting on range activations between Inrange® and global brands, who have been able to get their message in front of the avid practicing golfer.
