PGA TOUR FALL SERIES CULMINATES IN ANOTHER VICTORY FOR CLEATED FOOTWEAR
The PGA TOUR’s Fall Series wrapped up with an exciting playoff at the RSM Classic with the winner competing in footwear featuring replaceable cleat technology. With 33 of the top 36 finishers choosing replaceable cleat technology over spikeless/tennis shoes, it was another reinforcement of the value of stablity and traction as part of the recipe for winning golf.
“As golfers head into the holidays, they need to have golf footwear with cleats on their gift lists,” said John Hohman, senior vice president of marketing for PrideSports. “The RSM Classic, as well as the other professional tour events this past weekend, once again showed that golfers who care about performance wear cleated footwear.”
On the LPGA Tour, the number eight ranked player cruised to a four-shot win in the CME Globe Championship wearing cleated footwear. This was also the case at the European Tour’s DP World Tour Championship and the Australasian Tour’s Emirates Australian Open.
PrideSports is the undisputed leader in the golf cleat segment with its CHAMP® and Softspikes® brands. CHAMP’s Helix, Zarma Tour and Stinger cleats, as well as Softspikes’ Pivix, Pulsar, Silver Tornado and Stealth cleats, dominate the OEM and secondary market in terms of performance and sales.
