“We were fortunate to participate in the Villages Golf Festival Days in April at their beautiful Glenview Champions Country Club. Member response to the Caddies was overwhelmingly positive with many purchasing for their custom golf cars”, says Mike Hastings, co-founder. Their club pro, Chase Senn, mentioned that he takes his sunglasses off to putt and this would be an ideal solution to keep them handy, safe and secure. “You have a cool and unique product” said Chase.
“The Eyeglass and Sunglass Caddies are so unique and different, we felt they would be a great fit for our Villages Logo Stores” said Julie Garth, Senior Retail Manager.
“As we visited with many of the members we learned they had a wide range of uses in mind. Several suggested they would be ideal to store their snacks, crackers, pens, pencils and cigars. One gentleman planned to mount the Sunglass Caddie on the side of his recliner using our steel mounting plate with double-sided tape to hold his remote”, says Hastings.
“We also found another very unique solution for many members who weren’t able to mount their range finders on the steel frame of their custom golf car because the golf car covers prevented full access to the frame. However, by using our 1”x4” steel Mounting Plate with double-sided tape and placing it on the fixed portion of the plexiglass windshield, it enabled them to mount their range finder and/or their Sunglass Caddie for easy access”, says Al Schmidt, co-founder.

Palomino Grace, LLC was founded in 2022 when two long-time friends, Mike Hastings and Al Schmidt, saw the need to provide some type of secure and easily accessible device to protect eyeglasses while playing golf. Mike wears readers to keep score and was always fumbling around in the cart looking for his glasses. Inevitably, they would end up getting scratched, bent or broken. So, he took a soft eyeglass case, glued several magnets to the back and VOILA, the Eyeglass Caddie was born.
Much to our surprise, nothing similar existed anywhere in the market. As a result, we formed Palomino Grace, LLC, filed a provisional patent, and are awaiting approval of our utility patent this summer.
