PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – It’s America’s oldest winery. It’s a hotel. It’s a wedding venue. It’s a fun entertainment and special event site. It’s one of the best golf courses in all of South Jersey.
That’s the rundown at Vineyard National at Renault, a destination that wears many hats … and wears all of them well.
For all of those reasons, Vineyard National at Renault will be featured in the July episode of the award-winning Traveling Golfer television show.
“This place is a lot of things to a lot of people, and that’s why our typical greeting to all is Welcome Home,” says Josh McCallen, CEO of Renault Winery, who has directed the multi-million dollar renovation and rebirth of the property in recent years. “We’ve come a long way but it is still a continual work in progress.”
Renault Winery was founded by Louie Renault in 1864. The hotel opened in 2001. The golf course came along in 2005.
“Obviously, I wasn’t around for the opening of the winery, or even the hotel, but I walked and played the golf course with architect Ed Shearon before it ever opened to the public,” recalls Traveling Golfer host, Tony Leodora. “I fell in love with the landscape — rolling hills that cut into the unspoiled Jersey pines, large water features, and no houses … anywhere!
“Anyone who has not been to the Renault property recently will be shocked at the expansion and upgrades everywhere. Word is spreading fast, as Renault is becoming a national destination, not just a local attraction. The many different license plates in the parking lot is the first clue.”

As part of every Traveling Golfer show there is the additional feature, “Tech Talk”, hosted by Tour Edge Golf experts, such as President Dave Glod. With years of experience as a club maker, Glod presents an inside look at the research and development of high-quality golf equipment.
Responding to golfers’ never-ending demands to learn more about interesting golf courses and golf resorts across the country and around the world, well-traveled host Tony Leodora created the Traveling Golfer so he could take viewers on video trips to some of the most exciting golf locations. Four times in the last six years, the show has been honored as the No. 1 Golf Television Show in America in the prestigious International Network of Golf awards, presented at the PGA Merchandise Show.
The Traveling Golfer is a series of monthly shows hosted by Leodora, who has 20 years of experience in televised golf. The featured destination stays on the website for one month, before being replaced by a new show. Alternate shows also air in a two-month rotation. All old shows are archived for continued viewing on the YouTube Network and on the home website, www.travelinggolfervideo.com.
