Dallas, TX – The Women’s All Pro Tour, the official qualifying tour for the LPGA’s Epson Tour, will be heading to Mandeville, Louisiana for the first time since 2019 for the Northshore Championship. The four day tournament will feature over 100 of the best LPGA hopefuls competing at the beautiful Beau Chene Country Club.
“We are delighted to return to the Northshore area and Beau Chene CC. In a sense, the WAPT was founded at Beau Chene after a discussion with Epson Tour Player and Mandeville resident, Elise Bradley.” said WAPT President Gary DeSerrano. “We have a truly international field and we are certain the women will enjoy their time in the Northshore area. We are excited to kick off the 2023 season at Beau Chene Country Club!”
The Northshore Championship is scheduled for April 4th – April 7th, 2023. The week will include a Pro-Am, clinics, parties and a 72-hole championship finishing on Friday, April 7th all with the support of the tournament partner, Louisiana Northshore. The tournament purse is expected to be $55,000 with the tournament champion taking home $10,000 minimum. In addition, as the official qualifying tour of the LPGA’s Epson Tour the tournament winner and runner-up will each receive an exemption into an upcoming Epson Tour event.
“It is an honor and privilege for Beau Chene Country Club to host this year’s Northshore Championship season-opening event on the Women’s All Pro Tour,” said Mark Inman, COO of Beau Chene Country Club. “Not only does the WAPT provide an outstanding foundation for aspiring women golfers, it is an opportunity to showcase the game to other young golfers who may follow in their path. We are thrilled to welcome them to our courses.”
