Waterville Golf Links Debuts Major Clubhouse Renovations, Honoring the Past- Celebrating the Future
Waterville, Ireland – Waterville Golf Links in County Kerry, Ireland has just completed an extensive clubhouse, locker rooms, golf shop and dining area renovation that started in 2017. “We recently completed the final phase of our clubhouse renovation. The new facility includes a significant reconfiguration of the lobby, dining and bar area, locker rooms and golf shop. The project incorporated modern features and on the second floor the space was opened up in the bar and dining area to make the space more inviting and take advantage of the spectacular views of the links course that dates back to 1889.” said General Manager, Noel Cronin. The final phase was completed in six months and was led by Michael O’ Flynn and Michael Murphy.
More than three quarters of the bar and dining area are glass windows that overlook the course and the Ballinskelligs Bay beach. The clubhouse is meant to be a gathering spot for all who come to enjoy the beauty of the links course and surrounding area while making memories with friends new and old. It honors the past and celebrates the future. As well a half-way house was added adjacent to the clubhouse making it easier and more convenient for golfers to get a sandwich, snack or pint while making the turn or before and after a round.
