Strategic advisor, mentor, and private club industry veteran joins WIGI leadership to expand opportunities, strengthen industry connections, and help shape the future of women in golf.
Women in the Golf Industry (WIGI) announced the appointment of Meredith Otero to its Board of Directors.
Otero brings nearly two decades of experience across the private club industry, including more than a decade in director-level sales and marketing leadership. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for strengthening organizations through strategic partnerships, authentic relationship-building, and business growth while creating meaningful opportunities that advance both individuals and the game of golf.
As Founder of MET Marketing & Media, Otero advises organizations, brands, and industry leaders on strategic partnerships, executive positioning, media relations, and relationship-driven business growth. She is also a mentor for the Women in the Game initiative through the USA Basketball Foundation, a contributing writer for golf and lifestyle publications including Women’s Golf Magazine and Golf Course Industry, and was featured in KNOW Magazine‘s inaugural Women in Sports issue. A frequent moderator and speaker on leadership, innovation, and the evolving role of women in sports, Otero will also curate and moderate a Women Leaders in Golf executive panel at the 2026 BizBash Sports Innovation Forum, bringing together leaders from across sports, hospitality, and golf to discuss the future of leadership, partnerships, and collaboration.
“Meredith brings energy, vision, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed,” said Kay McMahon, President of Women in the Golf Industry. “Her ability to foster authentic relationships and create meaningful opportunities aligns perfectly with WIGI’s mission. We are excited to welcome her to our Board of Directors.”
“The most impactful opportunities almost always originate from thoughtful relationships,” said Otero. “Throughout my career, I’ve experienced firsthand how one introduction, one mentor, or one opportunity can change the trajectory of someone’s career. WIGI creates those moments every day. I’m honored to join the Board and help foster a community where women across every sector of golf can connect, grow, and lead together.”
