Premier Charleston luxury resort praised for exemplary course conditions.

Isle of Palms, S.C. – Wild Dunes Resort – a Destination by Hyatt luxury golf resort set on Isle of Palms, South Carolina, has been honored in the 2026 GolfersVoice Awards presented by the National Golf Foundation (NGF) and Players 1st. The famed resort with two classic Lowcountry Tom Fazio-designed golf courses was singled out in the Course Conditions for Top Premium Courses based on outstanding customer satisfaction and loyalty scores received from their customer surveys.

GolfersVoice is a customer experience platform used by golf facilities to collect survey feedback from golfers and evaluate the associated data against benchmarks of similarly priced properties. The 2026 GolfersVoice Awards celebrate public and resort facilities with the highest customer-supplied scores on four key categories: Loyalty/Net Promoter Score, Course Conditions, Food & Beverage, and Staff/Customer Service.

“It’s an honor to be included among the winners in the 2026 GolfersVoice Awards, especially given that the award is in the category for Course Conditions and it’s decided by our customers who could spend their time and golfing dollars anywhere,” said Jeff Minton Wild Dunes Resort’s Director of Golf. “Our Superintendent Scott Ferguson and his team do a fabulous job of keeping both the Links and the newly renovated Harbor Course in tournament condition day-in and day-out. This award is tribute to their talent and hard work.”

Recognized as one of the top 10 resorts in the South by Conde Nast Traveler, Wild Dunes Resort and its partners have invested more than $150 million in property renovations since 2021. These investments include the debut of the Sweetgrass Inn, a stunning 153-room hotel featuring a 10,000-square-foot state-of-the-art spa, 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a 3,000-square-foot rooftop bar, and sprawling pool deck. Wild Dunes Resort expanded its sports offerings earlier in 2025 with the addition of two new tennis courts and six pickleball courts, catering to the growing demand and popularity of the sport.

“Traditional Top 100 rankings have their place, but golf facilities deserve a ranking and recognition podium for delivering exceptional customer experiences as well,” said NGF President and CEO Greg Nathan. “Many courses were operating at near capacity levels in 2025 and still delivered an experience that prompted their golfers to voice their satisfaction and loyalty at the highest levels.”

For golf facilities earning 2026 awards, the data shows a commitment to delivering very welcoming, customer-first experiences for guests booking rounds on their courses. GolfersVoice allows golf course operators to evaluate ongoing satisfaction at their facility, enables MCOs to compare results across a portfolio of co. es, and helps management create programs, services and promotions based on the results. Participating courses can seamlessly integrate GolfersVoice with their current POS/Tee Sheet software, receive real-time alerts on detractor customers, track their customer wallet share, and use built-in AI tools to summarize answers from verbatim and custom questions.

Notably, Wild Dunes’ Harbor Course recently reopened after a $9.5 million renovation project. The Fazio Design team, Heritage Links Golf Course Construction, Troon Golf, and the Wild Dunes Resort Golf Course Agronomy team collaborated to rebuild and expand all of the Harbor’s 18 greens to improve the playability, variety, and unique challenge of each golf hole. Several of the course’s bunkers have been reshaped and moved to accommodate modern driving distances and playing areas have been expanded in several locations to enhance playability and strategy.

All of the Harbor Course’s tee boxes have been rebuilt, leveled and, in some cases, expanded while the irrigation system has been replaced to help optimize turf conditions and water usage. Holes nearest the intercoastal waterway that runs alongside the course were raised several feet to curb flood risk and multiple golf cart bridges have also been restored.

Wild Dunes delivers one of the most complete coastal golf destinations in the region, with two award-winning golf courses, a private beach club, alluring pool spaces, ample nature trails, tennis and paddle amenities, spa and meeting services, first-rate cuisine, and activities for the entire family.
