GolfNow’s Industy-Leading EZLinks Technology and Tee-Time Distribution Opportunities will Help Willow Springs Increase Efficiencies and Build Customer Base
ORLANDO, Fla. – GolfNow today announced a new partnership with Willow Springs Golf Course, which will help the West Friendship, Md., course incorporate technology into its operations for the first time in order to improve efficiencies and increase its profile among golfers.
This major step taken by new ownership at Willow Springs will be highlighted by a transition from a paper tee sheet to the installation of industry-leading EZLinks-branded technology by GolfNow, including the EZSuite management system and EZTeePro electronic tee sheet. The partnership also includes all the elements comprising the GolfNow Platform, including custom website design and development, a white-label booking engine, and a showcase to the millions of golfers who regularly use GolfNow 24/7 to search for and book tee times.
With 47 percent of courses responding to a recent GolfNow survey considering technology investments a “high priority,” Willow Springs Head Professional Scott Locastro wanted to give his golf course every advantage to succeed in a highly competitive business environment where consumers have an increasingly growing list of recreational choices.
“As a business, our golf course must continue to benchmark, think outside the box and continually evaluate what is working and what isn’t,” Locastro said. “GolfNow’s choices of technology, such as an online tee sheet with tee time management and building a professional website has and will help our business get on the map and grow. We’ll be more effective and efficient with these much-needed technology tools but, most importantly, Willow Springs Golf club customers will be happier and have more fun because of the smoothly integrated technology bundle.”
“Today’s golfer is engaging with the game of golf more and more through technology, and we’re excited to be taking that next step with Willow Springs by providing them with the tools they need to offer their golfers an easier and more convenient booking experience,” said Joe Del Rossi, National Director of Sales for GolfNow. “Along with seeing a major uptick in rounds sold online since joining GolfNow, Willow Springs now will have a full complement of resources through the GolfNow Platform to help them grow into the future.”
Located just 30 minutes west of Baltimore, Willow Springs Golf Course opened in 1991 as a mid-length, links-style golf course – a rare design for the times by renowned architect Al Janis. The course is a pleasant blend of par-3s and par-4s across 4,352 yards, providing a challenge for both the serious golfer and weekend warrior. Built on a property that once served as a dairy farm, Willow Springs’ links layout is characterized by generous fairways, undulating greens, grass mounding and unique love grass features. The 18-hole course also includes a public driving range and a modern-style clubhouse.
