The Only U.S. Publication Dedicated to Women’s Golf Expands Its Contributors and Brand Partners as the Sport Reaches Record Participation Levels Among Women
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Women’s Golf Magazine is proud to mark its first anniversary as a U.S. publication, celebrating a milestone year defined by rapid audience growth, marquee brand partnerships and a bold editorial vision that is resonating with the fastest-growing segment in the sport. Under the leadership of Jess McAlister, Founder and CEO of CATALYST9 and a nationally recognized golf marketing consultant, and Nicci Herrera, the owner of the Australian issue, the magazine has established itself as the premier media destination for the modern female golfer on a global scale.
Since launching its U.S., Mexico, and Canada edition in August 2025, Women’s Golf Magazine has established an entirely new and growing subscriber base in North America with support from 15+ brand partners, a testament to the surging demand for content that speaks directly to women in golf. According to the National Golf Foundation, there has been a 45 percent rise in the number of on-course, female golfers over the past six years (from 2020 to 2025) and this participant pool has experienced a net gain of 2.5 million, climbing to more than 8.1 million total, the highest count on record. Women’s Golf Magazine was built to serve exactly this moment.
“Women’s and girls’ golf has been booming the last few years, and it’s still the fastest growing segment in golf across all categories,” said Jess McAlister, owner of the U.S., Mexico and Canada edition of Women’s Golf Magazine. “People are waking up to the fact that golf is truly for everyone, no matter your gender, race, age. So many women were active consumers in golf already, by way of perhaps the men in their lives, but now they’re participating themselves, and their purchasing power has become much more valuable. They’re more invested in the game for themselves and sharing the experience with other women and girls in their lives.”
Women’s Golf Magazine has attracted strong support in its first year from leading brands that recognize the power of this audience, including Fore All, 2nd Swing and PXG, which recognized McAlister and the magazine as part of its 2025 #SheGolfs initiative for Women’s Golf Month. Heading into year two, the magazine is also expanding its editorial voice with a host of new contributors and partners to deepen its reach and expand coverage opportunities across instruction, fashion, travel, beauty, nutrition and lifestyle. Through this in-depth coverage, the publication is quickly increasing its digital reach through a growing email database and social media following.
