Pikesville, Maryland – Woodholme Country Club in Pikesville, Maryland recently welcomed Alex Childs as the club’s new head golf professional and Kelsey Baier-Anderson as the new golf course superintendent. As the weather warms and golfers prepare for a new golf season, Childs, Baier-Anderson and the entire Woodholme Country Club team are focused on growing the club’s golf program while enhancing the entire member and guest experience.

Childs brings extensive experience in golf operations, having led all aspects of golf services at premier private clubs. His professional background includes leadership roles at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio and The Ridge at Back Brook in Ringoes, New Jersey. Childs’ expertise includes managing golf operations, overseeing retail, and directing flagship events such as the Men’s Invitation and Diebold Cup.

Baier-Anderson has been involved in golf course agronomy in the Mid-Atlantic region for over a decade. His career includes positions at Burning Tree Golf Club in Bethesda and TPC Potomac, culminating in a seven-year tenure at Chevy Chase Club. While at the Chevy Chase Club, Baier-Anderson led a major golf course restoration and irrigation system overhaul that earned Golf Digest’s Renovation of the Year. He is committed to delivering members with an outstanding golf experience.

“Alex and Kelsey bring tremendous talent and experience to Woodholme, and we’re confident they will make an immediate and lasting impact on our golf program and overall member experience,” said Woodholme Country Club General Manager Oliver Leoni.

Under the leadership of Childs, members will benefit from a dedicated and experienced team offering comprehensive lessons and player development opportunities, including Director of Instruction John Francisco, and Assistant Golf Professionals Jason Murray and Shawn Parks. Their instruction programs are complemented by Woodholme’s expansive practice facilities and a newly renovated pro shop which enhances the overall golf experience for players of all levels. Woodholme Country Club members enjoy exceptional course availability and an ease of play that allows most rounds to be completed in four hours or less.
