Scottsdale, Ariz. – Woodland Hills Country Club, a private club located in Woodland Hills, Calif., is pleased to welcome Ron Banaszak as the club’s new general manager. As general manager, Banaszak will oversee all elements of the club from golf operations, agronomy, and sales/marketing to food & beverage and fitness club operations.
Banaszak has 25-plus years of club management experience having led operations at yacht and country clubs throughout California. Prior to Woodland Hills Country Club, Banaszak served as the chief operating officer at The Fountaingrove Club in Santa Rosa, Calif., where he helped lead the 900-member club through a rebuilding process following the October 2017 Tubbs Fire, which destroyed 5,643 structures in Santa Rosa including Fountaingrove’s clubhouse and maintenance facility. Banaszak’s career has included leadership roles at St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco, Long Beach Yacht Club in Long Beach, Glendora Country Club in Glendora and Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club in Corona Del Mar. “
“Ron has a great deal of passion for the member experience and for creating environments where employees can do their best work,” said Troon Privé Senior Vice President Bill O’Brien. “He’s committed to understanding the Club’s people and working tirelessly to insure the member experience remains a point of pride for everyone.”
A graduate of Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Hospitality Management, Banaszak is a member of the Club Management Association of America, having served as a president of the Southern California chapter in 2005 and on the Association’s national board of directors from 2010 to 2014.
