World Woods Golf Club’s Renowned Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks Re-unite with GolfNow, While Sister Courses Sugarmill Woods Country Club and Southern Woods Golf Club are Primed to Benefit from Golf’s Leading Tee-Time Platform
ORLANDO, Fla. – GolfNow and World Woods Golf Club have re-established a partnership now connecting its five managed golf courses with GolfNow’s industry-leading, tee-time distribution platform. The new relationship complements a previously established operations technology agreement with EZLinks Golf – a GolfNow company.
This collection of five golf courses located just north of Tampa comprise some of the best golf in Florida. The Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks courses, as well as the Short executive course, at World Woods are re-establishing their places within GolfNow’s global tee-time marketplace, while nearby Sugarmill Woods Country Club and Southern Woods Golf Club are new to the platform. All five courses will continue to benefit from the industry’s leading EZLinks-branded technology by GolfNow, including the EZSuite management system and EZTeePro electronic tee sheet, to manage their operations.
With the new agreement, each course also will benefit from additional elements that comprise the GolfNow Platform, including custom website design and development, a white-label booking engine, and a showcase to the millions of golfers who regularly use GolfNow 24/7 to search for and book tee times online.
“The World Woods team is excited to expand our relationship with GolfNow by adding an incredible tee-time distribution platform to its leading tech we already use at our courses,” said Rick Kelso, General Manager & Director of Golf. “The shift in golfer behavior is showing a growing preference toward digital, which is not only easier but also more seamless, and GolfNow is helping create that enhanced experience for our customers.”
The Tom Fazio-designed courses at World Woods Golf Club are reported to be among the architect’s most-prized projects and considered some of the best golf in the state of Florida. Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks offer distinctly different playing experiences, while the nine-hole Short course mixes the two styles of the championship courses in an executive-style layout. Sugarmill Woods features two, nine-hole courses – Cypress and Pine – designed by architect Ron Garl and featuring characteristics reminiscent of old Florida, while Hall-of-Fame golfer Hale Irwin designed 18-hole Southern Woods layout.
“We’re thrilled to welcome World Woods back to the GolfNow Platform,” said Joe Del Rossi, National Director of Sales, GolfNow. “With consumer demand for more digital services and considering GolfNow’s reach and enhanced booking experience, you’ve got a winning combination to help grow rounds and revenue. We’re looking forward to connecting all five courses to this ever-growing customer base.”
