While Europe took on the USA in New York last weekend, golfers worldwide partied on Zen Green Stages, hitting iconic putts from past Ryder Cups in front of their friends.
In 27 countries Green Stage owners were able to upgrade their Apps and play a special 12-Putt Ryder Cup Playlist designed by Zen staff and provided as preset gradients on their Zen touch screen. From New York to Tokyo, thousands of golfers could challenge themselves with breaking putts on the Green Stage’s virtually limitless movement.
From Jack Nicklaus at Royal Birkdale in 1969, to Justin Rose at Marco Simone in 2023, the Zen Ryder Cup Playlist celebrates 12 classic clutch putts in past Ryder Cups. Langer’s miss at Kiawah, long bombs from Poulter at Medinah and Justin Leonard at Brookline, and Sam Torrance’s 18-footer at The Belfry in 1985, to seal the first ever European victory – all were included in Zen’s first-of-its-kind playlist.
A short trip down the freeway from Zen’s HQ in the UK, golfers at the new 1IRON Golf facility in Milton Keynes had a Ryder Cup Lock In, late into the night, with big flat screen TVs showing live golf from Bethpage Black, while other screens played videos of famous Ryder Cup putts.
At 1IRON golfers bought a ticket to enter a Ryder Cup putting contest, where the facility’s staff had selected five putts for golfers to try on their 20ft Zen Green Stage. “We got amazing engagement when we hosted the Ryder Cup Famous Putts on our Green Stage” said 1IRON Golf co-founder Chris Djuric. “The passionate celebrations which you see when golfers hole a tricky breaking putt in front of their friends are on another level to anything you ever see in a standard golf sim bay.”

Near Johannesburg, South Africa, Swing Shack held a Ryder Cup Party where two dozen players were divided into two teams – USA and Europe – to battle it out in a series of golfing challenges in their four Trackman iO bays, including one bay with an adjustable Zen Swing Stage. “In our version of this year’s Ryder Cup, the USA scraped the narrow win instead of Europe!” said Swing Shack owner, Dave Lamprecht. “We all played Bethpage Black, of course, people brought their friends to watch and take part, and we had a fantastic turnout.”
And in the USA, at Bethpage itself, TWO12 Events used a Zen Green Stage to recreate Ryder Cup putts exclusively for cardholders in the CITI Lounge beside the 9th green, right through the event.
Zen’s William Stubbs, whose team created the Ryder Cup Playlist, said: “With our new Enhanced App, the Green Stage is now a true Spotify for Putting.
