CLEARWATER, FLORIDA – Two leading technologies in putting, Zen Green Stage and Quintic, have unveiled a new partnership which includes a seamless technical integration.
The Green Stage, which sets the global performance, movement and accuracy benchmarks for adjustable platforms, and Quintic Overhead Putt Tracker, which offers comprehensive and industry-leading golf ball path tracking tools, now work in harmony with their software linked together.
The combination gives putting coaches new valuable ‘real world’ data from breaking putts.
Both technologies are already widely used by elite coaches and players at the highest levels of the sport worldwide, but with this integration both Zen and Quintic systems are significantly enhanced.
The announcement comes after a two-year test period behind closed doors. The combined system was first demonstrated at the 2024 World Scientific Congress of Golf, at Loughborough University last July, with a unanimously positive response from delegates.
“Zen Green Stage in conjunction with our Quintic technology definitely makes a whole which is greater than the sum of its parts” said Dr Paul Hurrion, biomechanical mechanics expert and Quintic founder.
“Putting is a puzzle,” he continued, “so our newly-found ability to track and display the data for all parts of the putt in real time, on the Zen’s accurate and virtually limitless slopes, has been a true game-changer both for my own coaching, and for the Quintic Overhead Putt Tracker technology.
“Our customers and Zen’s will now discover great additional benefits and added flexibility for their coaching, custom-fitting, practice and research activities”.
The Zen Green Stage moving floor is already used by many putting coaches around the world in conjunction with the Quintic Ball Roll technology, which sits in a bespoke bracket attached to the Stage.
Zen Founder and CEO, Nick Middleton, said: “The Zen / Quintic Overhead Putt Tracker integration represents the most significant advancement in putting technology for PGA golf coaches and academy managers yet seen.
“For the first time, golf coaches can now precisely analyze putting mechanics and acquire a comprehensive understanding of a player’s performance on an undulating putting surface, almost infinitely adjustable, which provides the Tour-quality trueness of roll for which the Zen Green Stage is renowned throughout the sport.”
He continued: “With the Zen Green Stage and Quintic Overhead Putt Tracker now integrated, putting coaches can get immediate and detailed feedback in real-world conditions, enhancing the effectiveness of training sessions and accelerating player development.”
Paul Hurrion said: “My role as a coach and software engineer is to bring to life new possibilities which provide real time feedback to golfers.
“The 3D projection and visualization from the Quintic overhead tracker directly onto the ultra-adjustable Zen Green Stage putting surface now means we simply never have to hit the same putt twice!”
The Zen Green Stage enables golfers to hit billions of different breaking putts in a compact space The integration with Quintic underscores the company’s commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions which empower PGA professionals to deliver truly exceptional coaching experiences.
Here’s what makes this new integration a must-have:
More comprehensive putt tracking
Utilizing a high-speed camera, the Quintic software meticulously tracks the complete path of your golf ball, measuring ball speed, aim location, start direction, apex, point of true roll, total distance, and entry speed. As the Zen slopes change so does your data, enabling you to become a better putter when faced with undulating greens out on the golf course.
More useful in all putting scenarios
Zen and Quintic together now offer the new global standard for green-reading, custom-fitting, alignment, pace control and all other putting disciplines.
More detailed analysis
Compare shot patterns, dispersion and consistency on the Zen’s inexhaustible slopes. Test your intended aim against the actual start direction on both flat and sloped surfaces for precise improvements.
Immediate, better feedback
With instant feedback on your pace and start line, the Quintic software tracks your putt in real time across the length of the putt, whether breaking or straight, displaying the trajectory live on the Zen’s exclusive playing surface. You can also compare each putt with previous attempts and measure tolerances for both start line and pace.
“With Zen’s world-class adjustable putting surfaces now integrated with our overhead putt tracking system, putting coaches can now raise their lessons to new levels which we have never seen before in the sport” said Paul Hurrion.
