Monaco Yacht Show DS36 to reveal spectacular new golf onboard technology
SHEFFIELD, UK / ARENDAL, NORWAY – – First they revolutionized putting on board – and now Zen and STABLE are bringing a spectacular new dimension to hitting golf balls on your luxury yacht.
The STABLE Zen Golf Stage is an adjustable hitting platform which, combined with bio-degradable golf balls, enables a stabilized, sustainable golf experience off either a flat surface – whatever the sea conditions – or off the limitless gradients which make Zen the world’s leading moving floors for golf.
Owners and charter customers can now practice their tee shots, their short game or their putting on the world’s most advanced golfing surfaces, in perfectly stable conditions thanks to the new STABLE Zen partnership.
Whether hitting off the deck into the sea, or playing in a golf simulator inside the vessel, STABLE Zen can now provide a safer, more realistic golf experience while on a voyage or in the harbour.
“This is a genuine world-first” said Zen CEO Nick Middleton. “The STABLE Zen Golf Stage enables realistic full-swing golf on-board without the waves spoiling play. It joins the STABLE Zen Green Stage, the world’s premier adjustable putting green, which can be now stabilized for putting onboard unaffected by waves.”
“We are thrilled to elevate the onboard golfing experience by integrating our real-time stabilization technology with Zen Green Stage” said Rune Eriksen, CSO & Partner of STABLE. “Now, dedicated golf enthusiasts can hone their skills regardless of sea conditions,”
Middleton continued: “Very few people are totally immune to the effects of sea sickness. The STABLE Zen Golf Stage opens up new golf experiences and also provides a safe zone to recuperate.
“We also plan to introduce a unique “Play Live Golf” feature, in the future. This will enable owners to recreate gradients from any golf course on shore on their STABLE Zen Golf Stage and Green Stage moving floors. You will be able to play along with live tournaments in an ultra-realistic environment!”
Spectacular visuals produced by British design firm Studio PCM show how a STABLE Zen Golf Stage installation enhances even the most advanced superyacht environment.
From 25th-28th September 2024, STABLE and Zen will be meeting Monaco Yacht Show delegates at booth DS36 in the idyllic setting of Port Hercule in Monaco.

ABOUT STABLE
STABLE (est. 2002) is the number one supplier of onboard stabilization platforms, using technology originally developed for use in active heave-compensated cranes for the offshore Industry. STABLE’s platform neutralizes a vessel’s roll and pitch motions, which are calculated by means of sensor signals, resulting in the platform being automatically adjusted by computer-controlled actuators. STABLE has proved itself by developing one of the most demanding applications in terms of responsiveness and accuracy: the STABLE Billiard, which has been installed on a large number of cruise ships and superyachts. www.stableonboard.com
