New software release lets Zen Green Stage owners recreate iconic U.S. Open putts while showcasing the next generation of immersive golf practice.
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA — As the world’s best golfers compete to write the next chapter of U.S. Open history, Zen Golf has launched a new U.S. Open Famous Putts playlist, allowing Zen Green Stage owners to recreate some of the championship’s most memorable moments on their own programmable putting surfaces.
The new software release features iconic putts spanning six decades of U.S. Open competition, from Ken Venturi’s courageous finish at Congressional in 1964 through to Bryson DeChambeau’s championship-clinching putt at Pinehurst No. 2 in 2024.
Using Zen’s patented Active Terrain Technology®, every putt has been recreated as a playable challenge, enabling golfers to experience the precise slopes, pace and green contours faced by some of the game’s greatest champions.
The playlist is available immediately to all Zen Green Stage owners through an automatic software update.
Featured moments include memorable putts by Payne Stewart, Tiger Woods, Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau, giving golfers the opportunity to experience major championship pressure while developing green reading, pace control and stroke execution.
Will Stubbs, Head of Education at Zen Golf, said the release demonstrates how software is becoming an increasingly important part of the Zen ecosystem.
“Watching great golf is inspiring. Playing those same moments is transformational,” said Stubbs.
“Our goal is to connect watching, learning and playing within a single experience. Instead of simply observing a famous putt, golfers can step into that moment, read the green, make their own decisions and discover how subtle changes in slope influence every stroke.
“It’s an engaging way to develop putting skills, but it also illustrates where golf technology is heading. Software is becoming just as important as hardware, allowing courses, coaches and golfers to access an expanding library of playable experiences that can be updated continuously.”
The U.S. Open playlist forms part of Zen’s growing software platform, which already includes major championship recreations, coach-created practice environments and interactive challenges. Future releases will integrate with Zen Eye®, Putting Index®, and Play Live Golf®, allowing golfers to experience live tournament moments, advanced putting analytics, and augmented reality coaching within the same connected ecosystem.
The latest release reflects Zen’s broader vision of transforming indoor golf from static practice into immersive, representative playing experiences that bring golfers closer to the realities of the course.
Available in 12ft, 16ft and 20ft lengths, the Zen is golf’s most advanced adjustable stage for putting and swing, used by leading coaches, golf academies, universities, performance centres and club-fitting facilities worldwide. Zen combines patented Active Terrain Technology® with an expanding software platform designed to deliver richer coaching, player development and golf entertainment experiences.
