Exhibit Openings to Coincide with 2005 Induction Ceremony

St. Augustine, Fla. (Nov. 1, 2005) – The World Golf Hall of Fame will unveil five new exhibits Tuesday, Nov. 15 that recognize the personal and professional achievements of its 2005 Class of Inductees: Japan’s Ayako Okamoto, Australia’s Karrie Webb and the late Bernard Darwin, Alister MacKenzie and Willie Park Sr., of the United Kingdom. The exhibits open the day after the individuals become Hall of Fame members at the annual Induction Ceremony at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla.

The exhibits will feature memorabilia that represents the inductees’ historical influence on the sport of golf as well as significant moments in their lives on and off the course. Included are original 1926, 1927 and 1930 issues of The Times of London featuring articles written by Darwin, MacKenzie’s 13 original hole drawings of the course at Pasatiempo Golf Club in California, Okamoto’s trophy from the 1982 Arizona Copper Classic – her first LPGA Tour win, a long-nose play club made by Park (c. 1870) and a collection of Webb’s trophies and scorecards.

"The 2005 Inductee exhibits house unique memorabilia from the past and present day that many golf fans will see for the first time," said Jack Peter, Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the World Golf Hall of Fame. "We are grateful for the assistance we received in acquiring many significant items and believe our visitors will be intrigued by the stories told through the exhibits."
