Greensboro, Ga. (November 9, 2005) – Officials from Reynolds Plantation have announced that the neighboring community of Port Armor, which was acquired earlier this year, will be renamed Reynolds Landing. Membership plans were also announced at a town hall meeting that was held at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation.
"In selecting the name ‘Reynolds Landing’ we wanted to communicate a number of things, including the commitment of Reynolds Plantation management and the Reynolds family to the longevity and success of this community," announced Rob Mitchell, President and Chief Operating Officer of Reynolds Plantation.
Reynolds Landing will be operated as a separate community from Reynolds Plantation with its own membership plan known as the Lake Oconee Club. The property will be co-marketed with Reynolds Plantation.
Also acquired was the championship Port Armor golf course designed by Bob Cupp. The course will now be known as Reynolds Landing Golf Course and has undergone extensive renovation since April.
Other announcements included the creation of the new Reynolds Landing Sales Office, which will be staffed full-time with a dedicated team of agents; plans for a clubhouse and amenity complex; and improvements to the community’s roads.
"We want to express how excited we are to have the opportunity to manage Reynolds Landing and to get to know its residents. We believe this community will complement Reynolds Plantation quite well," stated Mitchell.
The Reynolds Landing Sales Office is currently taking listings and can be reached at 706-467-1555. For more information on Reynolds Landing or Reynolds Plantation, please call 800-800-5250.
