NEW YORK, New York, November 10th, 2005 – GPS Industries Inc. (OTCBB: GPSN), a leading innovator of Wi-Fi and GPS-enabled multimedia communications and management solutions for golf facilities, resorts, sporting events and residential communities announced today that it has issued court proceedings in London, UK alleging infringement of European Patent 0617794B1 against ProLink Solutions LLC, Elumina Iberica SA, and Elumina Iberica Limited.
This legal move has been made by the company in order to ensure that the patented golf GPS technology the company controls worldwide is properly licensed.
Robert Silzer, Sr., CEO and President of GPS Industries, Inc. says: "GPS Industries, Inc. is willing to sell licenses on reasonable commercial terms to all those who wish to offer the technology covered by our patents. Repeated attempts to put licenses in place with these particular companies have failed, and so we are now forced to seek remedies through the legal system to stop them from using our patented technology."
Silzer anticipates that a successful licensing program would increase revenue for the company and would be a significant long-term source of profit. According to Silzer, the pursuit of court enforcement proceedings as a last resort measure is a necessary component of GPS Industries’ licensing strategy.
Companies currently in need of a license to provide golfing GPS technology should contact GPS Industry’s licensing representative James McGill at jamesmcgill@goanyware.com or direct 918-388-3525.
