Pebble Beach, Calif. – The Northern California Section of the Professional Golfers’ Association is pleased to announce that Dave Nelson of Club Car has been recognized as Sales Representative of the Year. The honor was extended to Nelson for his years of dedicated service in the business of golf and for his ongoing support to the Northern California Section of the PGA. Nelson accepted the award in the presence of 330 golf professionals, industry leaders and special guests at the NCPGA Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony held at Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach, Calif.
Under his leadership as West Coast Sales Manager for Club Car, Nelson’s territory serves as a success model for other Club Car regions throughout the nation. "Dave’s knowledge and ongoing commitment to golf is marveled by so many," said NCPGA Executive Director Chris Thomas. "He has an outstanding reputation as a rep, and he enjoys building strong business relationships with his customers, always identifying their specific service needs."
An NCPGA Growth of the Game supporter, Nelson was a sponsor for the inaugural NCPGA Play Golf America Day at Haggin Oaks GC (Sacramento, Calif.), an event that provided free instruction and golf equipment to over 2,000 attendees. He has been a loyal tournament sponsor for the Northern California PGA in providing support to the section’s Club Professional and Stroke Play, Pro-Assistant and Pro-President Championships, as well as other events throughout the region. Under Nelson’s encouragement, Club Car is a supporter of the NCGA Foundation, an organization that serves as another advocate for junior golf in Northern California.
Nelson is on the board of the California Golf Course Owners Association and is a supporter of the California Alliance for Golf. "He is on the pulse of golf and is constantly working to develop strong alliances with others within our industry," said Thomas. "Dave has been a huge supporter to our members, to our association and to growing the game of golfâ?¦to him we are extremely grateful."
