Club designer will be appearing in the Equipment Testing Center at the PGA Show

Denver, CO— For Jeff Peterman, taking risks and gambling on an idea, is not a far stretch for the journeyman teaching professional out of Painted Desert Golf Club in Las Vegas, NV. However, when a member approached Peterman on the driving range seven years ago with an awkward looking, forward-positioned, "revolutionary" sand wedge design, he was skeptical.
A few months later, Peterman received an invitation to play in a special "Ryder Cup" style pro-am event at The Belfry in Coldfield, England. He put the prototype wedge in his bag and during the first round scored eagles on the 3rd and 7th holes–much to the surprise of his local caddie. With his short game sizzling, he went on to win the tournament outright.
Peterman was sold on the wedge. He came back to the U.S. and Face Forward Technologies was born.
"The original wedge was a blade" said Peterman "With the F2 wedge, we changed the design to a cavity back, moved the hosel three quarters up the clubface to create a forward press, added more weight to the sole and increased the center of gravity to make it easy for golfers to hit."
The F2 wedge’s unique and patented innovation places the hosel behind the clubface putting the clubface in a face forward position at all times.
In deep rough, the F2 club head moves through the grass with less resistance and keeps the grass from grabbing the hosel and forcing shots offline. In sand, the F2’s unique open clubface allows golfers of all abilities to hit high, soft sand shots just like the pros. When chipping or pitching the ball, the F2 design eliminates shanks and greatly reduces the chance to hit shots thin.
The overwhelming success of F2’s infomercial on the Golf Channel and thousands of testimonials on its website www.F2golf.com has created a grassroots love affair between F2 wedges and golfers around the country.
"One customer wrote us saying the F2 wedge saved his marriage!" mused Peterman.
The F2 wedge is available in 52, 56, 58 and 60-degrees of loft, steel and graphite shafts and left handed models.
"The F2 face forward technology is the first major innovation in wedge technology in years," said Peterman. "Golfers scoffed at metal woods and monster-sized mallets once. The short game is a game of imagination and F2 Golf has the wedges of the future."
Jeff Peterman will be appearing in the Players Turf short game area in the Equipment Testing Center during the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, January 26th thru the 29th.
