Optix Golf is the inventor of the MIR-1, the most interactive, ergonomically correct putter on the market today. Through its precision-engineered design the patent pending MIR-1 establishes consistency and stability through proper position, balance and coordination. The MIR-1, featuring TRI PRO Technology, contains three components that increase proprioception/muscle memory in the putting stroke.

1. The Mir-1 contains a unique interchangeable flange with a mirror surface on one side to determine eye/head position and a non-reflective side to comply with USGA regulations (by removing the two allen screws in the back of the clubface the interchangeable flange can easily be positioned to show either side).

  • Mirror allows you to position your eyes on the target line or slightly inside (1/2"-1 ½")
  • Mirror can accommodate one or both eyes depending on your setup.
  • Mirror keeps your shoulders parallel to the ball-target line (another key to a consistent stroke)

    2. The MIR-1 contains a line engagement design that allows the golfer to determine whether or not the putter is properly soled.

    3. The MIR-1 is equipped with a perimeter interchangeable weighting system (15g and 30g inserts) allowing variable weighting of the putter by placing equal weight in each port or increasing/decreasing weighting in the heel/toe.

  • Widely placed weight ports to increase MOI
  • Clubhead weight can be changed from 325g to 340g, 355g, 370g or 385g.

The MIR-1 has very unique features that are tailor made to meet each individual golfers need. To increase the overall function and reliability of the MIR-1 four additional components were instituted into its design as well.

  • Center of gravity is positioned 1.4" from clubface to reduce backspin and promote proper acceleration and clubhead speed for a smoother stroke
  • Clubface is made of aircraft aluminum with a "soft grain" milled design for a soft feel and optimum control
  • Middle flange positioned 4/10 from the sole to keep putts online and rolling smoothly at impact
  • True cavity bottom design to decrease resistance on putts just off the green

Many golfers have a limited understanding where their head/eyes are in relationship to the ball. As a result, club and body position vary from putt to putt leading to increased strokes around the green. The MIR-1 enhances consistent behavior by promoting an action that can be reproduced over and over again. The MIR-1 is a sensory golf experience like no other. If your position is correct so are your putts. Simply, the MIR-1 will change the way you view the game!

The MIR-1 is scheduled for release in Spring 2006. Orders can be placed at the PGA Merchandise Show for a discounted rate. See booth 3308 for details.
