Orlando, FL – Rife Putters would like to congratulate the 15 players on the PGA and Champions Tours whose combined earnings totaled $512,161.43 at The PGA Championship and The Boeing Greater Seattle Classic this past weekend.
Rife Putters finished 2nd on the Darrell Survey, for number of putters in play, at The Boeing Greater Seattle Classic on The Champions Tour and had notable 2nd Place, T-3rd Place and T-9th Place Finishes at the event. Combined earnings were $364,731.43 for the tournament accounting for nearly 23% of the total purse. Most of these earnings were attributed to players using Rife’s very popular 2 Bar Putter, which Dana Quigley made famous on route to winning the Champions Tour Player Of The Year Honors in 2005.
Rife’s success continued on the PGA Tour as they had 3 players in contention on Sunday at The 88th PGA Championship held at The Medinah C.C. just outside Chicago, Illinois. Rife’s GR6 Series and new Island Series of putters have been extremely popular with the PGA Tour players over the past five weeks and combined earnings from The British Open through the PGA Championship now total $660,772.00. Rife’s brand new Island Series of putters, which have already made their way into several of the Tour Players bags, will be introduced to the public early in 2007.
"Both the GR6 and new Island Series of putters have really taken off," said Matt Molloy, CFO of Rife Putters. "Right now we’re working with several of the top players on the PGA Tour and we’ve had over $1 Million Dollars in combined earnings over the past 5 weeks. We’re very pleased with the way things are going out there on the Tour."
Rife’s new GR6 and Island Series of high-end fully CNC milled putters offer the same patented RollGrooveTM Technology as the popular Two Bar putter but with a more classic design.
About Rife Putters
Rife Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGroove faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
