CARLSBAD, Calif. (February 22, 2007) – Golfweek, one of the foremost golf-focused publications in the world, recently named adidas Golf its "Apparel Company of the Year." The honor was formally presented at the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show at the adidas Golf booth, and accepted by Tiss Dahan, adidas Golf director of apparel. Golfweek noted that the adidas Golf brand merited the award on the basis of several factors including strong products such as the ClimaCool® line of apparel and Tour 360 footwear; strong tour support by such players as Natalie Gulbis, Paula Creamer, Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose; the creative color palette employed throughout the adidas Golf line of products; and the manner in which adidas Golf products work in conjunction with each other to create a distinctive and attractive "look."
"Golfweek is very proud to honor adidas with the inaugural Golfweek’s Best Apparel Company of the Year award," said Alfred Snow, marketing director. "We recognize all of the great strides that adidas Golf has made in the last year in all areas of golf fashion, that has led adidas Golf to become the trend setter in the industry."
adidas Golf is one of three brands, along with TaylorMade Golf and Maxfli Golf, that make up the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company.
