LPGA Pro to Provide Tips and Instruction to Golfers on Internet’s Most Popular Network of Golf and Travel Related Web Sites
February 26, 2007, Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Highly-regarded golf instructor Beverly Fergusson begins a weekly blog on TravelGolf.com Monday, February 26. Fergusson, who resides in Southern California, will write about a wide range of golf subjects including thoughts about the game of golf, instruction, men and women golfers, golf schools and other topics of interest for all avid golfers.
With a resume boasting more than 25 years of teaching experience, Fergusson has been recognized as one of the "Top 50 Teachers in America" by Golf Range Magazine, a "Top 50 Teacher" by Golf for Women, was nominated as a "Top 100 Instructor" by Golf Magazine and was chosen as the LPGA Northeast Section Teacher of the Year in 1994. She also served as the director of instruction at the LPGA International, home of the LPGA Headquarters, for four years.
The co-owner of the Fergusson-Hayes Traveling Golf Schools, Fergusson has taught golf throughout the world, including stops in Germany, Korea, Hawaii and the Caribbean. She is a frequent guest speaker at corporate outings and golf schools and has penned articles for many golf publications, such as Washington Golf Monthly, Florida Golf and Senior Golf. The native of Greensboro, N.C. is also the cofounder of Business Women’s Golf Link, a 300-member professional women’s golf association in the Washington, D.C. area.
"I’ve been reading TravelGolf.com and WorldGolf.com for some time now," said Fergusson. "The articles are easy to read and very informative. I want to contribute to TravelGolf.com because I can contribute thought-provoking ideas about golfers and their challenges in this complex game. If I can get people to think differently and question themselves so that they seek answers to help their golf game, then I will have made a positive difference. I never like giving one formula for everyone. Each golfer needs their own ‘cocktail’ for their game. Finding the right cocktail for the student is the challenge of any golf instructor."
"Without question, Beverly Fergusson’s vast knowledge of the game and her expertise as an instructor will be of great value to our readers," editor and chief operating officer Mark Nessmith said. "What’s more, her warm and infectious personality will come out in her writing. This is going to be a fun blog to read."
