‘Par and Beyond’: The Breakthrough Science of Behavioral Kinesiology

Dr. Jerry Teplitz shows golfers how to be mentally tough like Tiger

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — You may never be able to swing a club like Tiger Woods, but you can be as mentally strong as the World’s Number 1 player. All you have to do is follow the breakthrough program of Dr. Jerry V. Teplitz.

The basis of this program is grounded in the science of Behavioral Kinesiology. By using the science of Behavioral Kinesiology which uses a concept called muscle checking, Teplitz shows golfers how to effectively monitor and instantly alter their state of mind.

"Everything around us affects the body in a direct, immediate and dramatic way," he explains.

Teplitz proves this by demonstrating a procedure called the Spleen Meridian Test which applies principles from acupuncture. First he runs his hand from the subject’s arm without touching the body across the stomach to the navel. This simple motion, demonstrated by the muscle checking, immediately reduces the subject’s physical strength. Next, Teplitz ‘restores the energy back’ by quickly rubbing his hand along the same line from the arm back to the navel.

"Golfers need to know that when they are taking practice swings their arms are crossing in front of the Spleen Meridian field reducing their effectiveness," says Teplitz. "You can prevent this from happening by keeping your tongue in contact with the roof of your mouth whenever you swing with a club. There is a ‘circuit closer’ for the body’s energy system located a quarter of an inch behind your teeth. If your tongue is in contact with this spot, you stop the negative effects. Everyone should get into the habit of keeping their tongue in contact with that spot when not talking or eating. It’s a great stress reliever."

Teplitz shares many of these concepts in his current DVD, "Par and Beyond: Secrets to Better Golf" available at www.golf-help.info. He has successfully taught these techniques to the golf teams at the University of Pennsylvania and works with top teaching professionals at golf schools around the country.

"Everybody talks about playing in the zone but how do you get there?," said Jerry Reymond, Head Instructor at the Summit Golf Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla. "Dr. Teplitz’s program begins to bridge the gap between talking about playing in the zone to actually showing you the road map to get there."

For the past 30 years, Teplitz has lectured on Optimum Brain Performance and Behavioral Kinesiology to Fortune 500 companies around the globe. He has been named one of only seven "Top Head Masters" in the country by Travel & Leisure Golf. Now that he’s applying his knowledge to golf, Teplitz just may become the Butch Harmon or Hank Haney of the mind.
