Methodist Unanimous No.1 Pick

NEW YORK, NY—The very first Golf World/NGCA Division III Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine and the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). The poll is based on the selections of nine women’s coaches from across the country. The complete results, including results from Divisions I and II, will appear in the March 9 issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now at www.golfworld.com/womenspoll.

Methodist is No.1 in the poll, earning all nine first-place votes. The Monarchs have won nine straight NCAA titles and fifteen of the last sixteen national championships. The team plays its spring opener this week at the NIU/Spring Lake Women’s Intercollegiate, and is led by senior Charlotte Williams, the two-time defending NCAA individual winner.

Rounding out the top five are: Gustavus Adolphus (No.2); DePauw (No.3); Saint Thomas (No.4); Wisconsin-Eau Claire (No.5).
