Florida Southern Unanimous No.1 Pick
NEW YORK, NY—The very first Golf World/NGCA Division II Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine and the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). The poll is based on the selections of nine women’s coaches from across the country. The complete results, including results from Divisions I and III, will appear in the March 9 issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now at www.golfworld.com/womenspoll.
Florida Southern is No.1 in the poll, earning all nine first-place votes. The Lady Mocs won their fifth tournament in six starts when they claimed the title at the Lady Moc Classic last week in Lakeland, Fla. The team’s final-round 296 was the best score for a single round in the nine-year history of the tournament. Florida Southern is led by freshman Kim Ulander (1 win, 6 top-ten finishes) and junior Lindsey Bergeon (4 top-ten finishes).
Rounding out the top five are: Lynn (No.2); Rollins (No.3); Ferris State (No.4); Grand Valley State (No.5).
