SureShot GPS Introduces State-of-the-Art Features

March 9, 2007

MELBOURNE, Australia (March 8, 2007) – SureShot GPS, a handheld golf course measuring device with enhanced qualities, has issued a major software update for all users worldwide. The update, which differentiates SureShot GPS in the field of handheld GPS systems, consists of several new state-of-the-art features, and is an automatic downloadable prompt for users when they connect SureShot GPS to the Internet via SureAnalysis.

"SureShot GPS users all over the world, both new and existing, will find these brand-new features exciting and useful," said Simon Webb, co-founder of SureShot GPS. "Players now can have the most up-to-date data to enhance their games and their golfing experience. SureShot GPS continues to lead the way in handheld GPS golf technology."

The new software enables golfers to customize data on any specific golf course to fit their own games. For example, they can personalize their lay-up points based on distance and relevant hazards. Also, players can add new features into a golf course file that may not have been present when a particular course was first mapped. This editing capability, unique to SureShot GPS, applies to both professionally-mapped and player-mapped golf courses. Many courses alter their design in some fashion, often annually, such as with the addition of new bunkers or water hazards, or the re-design of greens. Also, trees grow over time, changing the dynamics of a player’s decision-making. Now golfers can add and delete altered features within a golf course file that has been downloaded on a SureShot GPS device.

In addition, golf course mapping is now an even simpler process, as the SureShot GPS automatically calculates the center of the green when a player self-maps a golf course. Thus players can map just the front and back of a green, and the center is mapped during the process. (Players still can map the center of any green manually, if they wish.) The result of this state-of-the-art software enhancement is that players can map courses with confidence and ease, even while playing a social round of golf.

Finally, hybrid golf clubs have been added to the list of individual club lengths and recommendations which players can access during a round of golf if they choose. Previously, only irons and woods were included in the club selection recommendations for individual golfers.

The ability of SureShot GPS to be used on any golf course in the world, its advanced features and ease of use have increased greatly the demand for this award-winning device on every continent. Whether traveling or playing a local golf course, any golfer can enhance his game with the extra knowledge and confidence that SureShot GPS provides.

SureShot GPS recently was made available for purchase in Edwin Watts Golf stores and on the Edwin Watts Web site (www.edwinwattsgolf.com). SureShot GPS won a PC News Weekly "Editor’s Choice Award" last year for performance and value. It earned a full five-star rating and was noted as a "must-have for serious golfers."

Developed in 2005 by Tee2Green Technologies Pty, Ltd., SureShot GPS is being praised by golfers for its anti-glare color screen, simple user interface and multiple options. The device can depict measurements in either yards or meters for use on golf courses the world over. More and more golfers are adopting SureShot GPS as their product of choice, especially as a 12-month course subscription is included free of charge with purchase. The retail price of SureShot GPS is $399 USD.

SureShot GPS was developed for the global golf market to answer the age-old question: "How far is it to the green?" This advanced handheld device features a specially-designed color, backlit screen with polarized filter that clearly displays distances to hazards and greens. The "Welcome Screen" can be customized for presentation as a corporate or personal gift. Distances can be measured from the tee to the front, center and back of the green, enabling mapping of the front and carry of up to 15 hazards per hole and up to 33 reference points per hole. A player has the ability to tailor his own mapping requirements, whether the selected golf course is professionally or personally mapped, with lay-up points, for example. Another option allows a player to record and analyze statistical information for a round of golf, such as fairways hit, greens in regulation, etc. The device is capable of holding up to ten golf courses on any course worldwide, subject to local rules in accordance with the ruling provided by the USGA and the R&A. Many golfers, both amateur and professional, already have discovered the exceptional qualities and ease of use which SureShot GPS offers.
