LPGA Chief Marketing Officer Joins EWGA Board of Directors

Bill Susetka Appointed to Women’s Golf Association Board

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., March 20, 2007 – William F. Susetka, the chief marketing officer for the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) has been named as the LPGA representative on the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) Board of Directors.

"Having a representative from the LPGA on our association board provides added insight and deepens the relationships between our two organizations," says Penny Hulbert, president of the EWGA Board of Directors. "Bill’s exceptional background in building brands for women and his extensive marketing experience are added assets to the many diverse talents of our board. We welcome his expertise as we position the EWGA for future growth."

Susetka joined the LPGA as its chief marketing officer in January 2007 and is responsible for all LPGA marketing functions, including: licensing and merchandising; media; sales; market research; corporate advertising; and brand building. Previously, he was president of Global Marketing for Avon Products Inc., where he led double-digit beauty growth and introduced the most successful new product launches for skin care and fragrance in Avon history. For more than 25 years, Susetka worked at Clairol, Inc. There he held several executive-level positions including president, Clairol U.S. Retail where he was responsible for $1 billion in sales; and president of Clairol International, leading the international expansion of the Herbal Essences Hair Care line to become the largest brand franchise in Clairol history.

Susetka received a B.S. in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. He and his wife live in Palm Coast, Florida.

Since it was founded in 1991, the EWGA has touched the lives of over 80,000 women, providing opportunities to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life. This not-for-profit membership association has 120 chapters throughout the United States and in Canada, offering a wide range of golf, social and networking activities for new and experienced golfers.

About the EWGA Board of Directors

The EWGA Board of Directors is responsible for leading and governing the EWGA, strategic planning and providing fiduciary oversight of the association. The board of directors also appoints the chief executive officer of the EWGA who serves as an ex-officio Board member.

The 2007 officers of the EWGA Board of Directors include President Penny Hulbert, president Links Financial LLC from the Tampa Bay, FL Chapter; President- Elect Karen Furtado, vice president, CGI, Southern New Hampshire Chapter; and Secretary/Treasurer Margaret Downey, director of training development & culture, CSX Transportation, Jacksonville, FL Chapter.

At-large members and regional representatives include Joan Cavanaugh, president of Golf for the Professional Woman, Polk County, FL Chapter; Karen Durkin, executive vice president of communications and brand strategy, National Hockey League, of the New York City, NY Chapter, Patrice Franco, vice president, BlackRock, Inc., Long Island, NY Chapter; Melinda Hipp, senior loan officer, Legacy Mutual Mortgage, San Antonio, TX Chapter; Lisa Lifer, IT director, Schering-Plough Corporation from the Northern New Jersey Chapter; Amanda Maltby, privacy leader, Canada Post Corporation, Greater Toronto, Ontario Canada Chapter; Karen Moraghan, president, Hunter Public Relations/Special Events, Long Valley, NJ; and Dori Smith, WordSmiths Communication, Palm Springs/Desert Cities, CA Chapter.

The EWGA board representative from the PGA of America is Sandy Cross, marketing services director, PGA of America, Palm Beach County, FL Chapter; the USGA board representative is Barbara Douglas, a member of the USGA Women’s Committee from Phoenix-Valley of Sun, AZ Chapter; the communications representative is Susan Reed, editor-in-chief, Golf for Women magazine, New York City, NY Chapter; and the business and industry representative is Karen Francis, chairman and CEO of Publicis & Hal Riney.
