Louisville, KY – The Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society, an international, independent association of golf clubmakers headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky whose mission is to foster, promote, and elevate the art of professional golf club making, fitting and repair, has announced the recipients of its annual awards for 2007. The PCS presented the awards at its Annual Membership Conference in Louisville, Kentucky on March 10, 2007.

Lou Ullrich, Memphis, Tennessee, was named PCS Clubmaker of the Year. The Clubmaker of the Year award is the highest honor the PCS bestows and represents excellence in professional clubmaking and fitting. "I am thrilled to be recognized by my peers and the golf industry as the PCS Clubmaker of the Year," said Mr. Ullrich. "This is truly an award I will cherish for many years to come."

In addition, John Miller, Burt, Minnesota, and Gene Sprayberry, Columbia, South Carolina, received the PCS Top Shop Awards for excellence in home-based and retail operations respectively.

The Elmore Just Award – named for the founder of the PCS – and given to a PCS volunteer for outstanding contributions to the Society, was awarded to Les Moore, Apple Valley, California, for his service to the PCS Board and his countless hours of volunteer help to the organization. In addition, Bob Dodds of Louisville, Kentucky, PCS Technical Director Emeritus was a co-recipient of the Just Award for his 10 years of service to the PCS. "Both Les and Bob are worthy recipients of this award, and I am pleased to acknowledge their many contributions to the Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society over the years," said Barry J. Palm, PCS Executive Director. "All of our awards winners are most deserving of the accolades afforded them," said Palm.

Founded in 1989, the Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society is a global non-profit association of 1,000 professional golf clubmakers involved in golf club fitting and repair. For more information call 800-548-6094 or visit www.proclubmakers.org
