Seven Pros Put SeeMore into Play; Two Top 25s Using Putters Finish Tied for 16th
(Franklin, TN – May 15, 2007) SeeMore Putter Company enjoyed its best Tour showing in its history with seven pros putting various SeeMore putters into play, including three of the company’s new mSeries putters.
Two of the world’s top 25 ranked players using SeeMore putters finished in the top 20, tying for 16th place. One pro played the FGP that was involved in winning the Masters and the other pro used one of SeeMore’s new mSeries putters, making the Player’s the third time a top 25 player has put the new m1 into play in competition since its introduction. The new mFGP and m3 were also put into play, making that three out of the four new mSeries models in Tour play.
"What a tremendous showing for us at this ‘major’ tournament, especially following our great success at the Masters," says Jim Grundberg, Managing Director of SeeMore Golf. "We’re excited that more and more players are choosing SeeMore and its original, proven and proprietary Riflescope Technology, particularly when facing the Tour’s most challenging greens. Based on our putter’s proven performance, I expect SeeMore’s presence and usage to build on Tour."
The new SeeMore series of putters combine the beauty, precision, accuracy, and feel of 100% milled heads with the original proprietary and proven alignment benefits of the SeeMore RifleScopeâ?¢ Technology (RST) system.
The mSeries comes in four distinctive, finely crafted models to appeal to different player’s putting preferences and styles. The m1 is a classic heel/toe blade with center shaft, the m2 is a classic heel/toe blade with heel shaft, the m3 is a classic mallet with center shaft and the mFGP the mFGP is a milled version of the original FGP putter used by Johnson to win the Masters and by Payne Stewart to win the U.S. Open.
The patented RST alignment system technology allows a golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line. This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. The process resembles locking radar onto a target.
SeeMore became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter. Stewart one-putted the last three holes to win the championship by one stroke. He sunk what’s considered to be the longest putt in Open history on the 18th hole to win the tournament. Stewart also won the overall putting title for fewest putts per round over the entire 1999 season.
The SeeMore brand was re-launched with the new mSeries of putters in 2007 and immediately gained worldwide prominence again as Zach Johnson used a SeeMore FGP to win the 2007 Masters. SeeMore also is the putter of choice for the tour’s best putter among the top 50 on the money list in 2006, Vaughn Taylor.
Other noted SeeMore Tour accomplishments include Johnson setting the all-time Nationwide Tour putting record of 1.699 putts per GIR over an entire season using a SeeMore putter, finishing first in putting, wins and on the overall money list. He is one of only two players ever on any tour to finish a season under 1.7 putts per GIR. Johnson and Taylor were the two youngest players to qualify for the 2006 Ryder Cup.
Johnson and Taylor are students of accomplished putting coach and SeeMore consultant Pat O’Brien. O’Brien’s putting philosophy is based on his study of Stewart during his remarkable 1999 using a SeeMore putter.
