Company Namesake to Conduct Clinics at Layouts Operated by Billy Casper Golf

[VIENNA, Virginia] — On Friday, July 20, professional golf legend Billy Casper will make public appearances and conduct free golf clinics at Virginia Oaks in Gainesville from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

and Reston National in Reston from 4:30 p.m. to 7.p.m.

The events are free and open to the public. More information is available by calling the courses or going online: Reston National,

703-620-9333 or www.restonnationalgc.com ; Virginia Oaks.

703-754-7977 orwww.virginiaoaksgc.com .

One of the greatest players ever, and beloved by fans worldwide, Casper won two U.S. Opens and one Masters to go along with the 51 tournament victories, ranking him seventh on the PGA TOUR’s all-time win list.

"We are delighted Billy Casper will participate in events at our courses in Northern Virginia," says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of

Billy Casper Golf that manages Virginia Oaks and Reston National.

"An elder statesman and true living legend of the game, Billy’s appearances are always treats for golfers of all ages. His anecdotes from his playing days, insights into the game, and love of all of us who play it shouldn’t be missed."

A wizard around the greens, Casper will give a short-game exhibition at each course, as well as sign autographs, take photos with and greet participants.

"I am excited to let golfers know that we greatly appreciate their playing at the courses in our company’s backyard," says Casper. "I also have a lot of fans and friends in the area from my playing days, and I can’t wait to see everyone."

Casper finished in fourth place during the historic 1964 U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland that was won in heroic fashion by fellow Californian Ken Venturi.

Only Sam Snead (82 victories), Jack Nicklaus (72), Ben Hogan (64), Arnold Palmer (62), Tiger Woods (57) and Byron Nelson (52) have won more PGA TOUR events than Casper. From 1964 to 1970, Casper won more tournaments than "The Big Three" – Nicklaus, Palmer and Player – combined.
