Bedford Springs, Pa. — June 28, 2007 – The vintage Pennsylvania "springs hotel" that captivated American society for three centuries, now meticulously restored to its former grandeur, will officially re- open its doors on Thursday, July 12 at 10:00 a.m.
Some of Bedford Spring Resort’s oldest living guests and former employees will be in attendance to celebrate the resort’s re-opening and help welcome first-time guests to the newly restored historic destination. Also on hand for the ceremony will be representatives of Bedford Resort Partners Ltd., owners and developers of Bedford Springs Resort; Benchmark Hospitality International, and community officials.

Bedford Springs Old Course, its classic design now restored to its former glory, will officially re-open at 12 noon on July 12. The historic, quintessential "American Classic" golf course will be open to the public, with preferred tee times reserved for resort guests. Benefiting from the golf industry’s 21st century technologically and advanced turf management, the newly transformed golf links would surely satisfy the course’s original master architects.
"Select holes at Bedford Springs are thought to be some of the first golf holes installed in America, creating something of a golf architectural museum," says Evans. "Golfers at Bedford Springs will experience historically significant eras of American golf and the work of three master golf architects in one golf course – Spencer Oldham, A.W.
