St. Augustine, Fla. (July 11, 2007) – For the second consecutive year, the World Golf Hall of Fame will have an exhibition on display at the 2007 Open Championship at Carnoustie Golf Links in Carnoustie, Scotland. The Hall of Fame’s stand will be on display in the Exhibition Pavilion the week of the Championship Monday, July 16 through Sunday, July 22.
"We are excited to again be part of The Open Championship and are grateful to The R&A, our supporting organization, for offering an ideal opportunity to reach passionate golf fans attending the tournament," said Jack Peter, Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Hall of Fame. "We trust the spectators will enjoy the intriguing stories of the Hall of Fame members who have connections to Carnoustie."
The exhibition will tell stories of Hall of Fame members who have won The Open Championship at Carnoustie – Tommy Armour, Henry Cotton, Ben Hogan, Gary Player and Tom Watson. It also will give spectators the opportunity to learn more about the Hall of Fame, its mission and its location in the United States.
The Exhibition Pavilion will be open to spectators Monday, July 16 through Saturday, July 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about the 2007 Open Championship, visit www.opengolf.com.
