The Putting Arc

July 24, 2007

The Putting Arc congratulates Old Waverly teaching pro and long time Putting Arc user V.J. Trolio on his victory at the 2007 Farm Bureau Invitational (Mississippi Open Golf Championship). Faced with a 30 foot eagle putt on the final hole of the 54 hole tournament, V.J. rolled it in to tie Mississippi Amateur Champion Steve Wilson, then defeated him in a four hole sudden death playoff. V.J. shot rounds of 69, 67 and 67 and made only two bogeys in the 58 holes he played. He is the first professional to win the state open in twelve years.

Congratulations also to Padraig Harrington on his British Open win, Joe Ogilvie on his first PGA Tour win, and Tom Scherrer on his Nationwide Tour win.

Total wins by professional golfers who have and have used a Putting Arc since they were introduced in 2002 now total 404, with 72 wins so far in 2007.
