LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The world’s largest, independent organization of golf equipment professionals, Professional Clubmakers’ Society announces it will be providing club-fitting services at the 2007 PGA TOUR Amateur Championship held in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Members of the PCS Carolina Chapter will operate the fitting and repair booth throughout the tournament, August 26, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and from August 27 through August 30, 2007, 6p.m. to 10 p.m. The tournament itself will span across seventy different golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area. There are six different competitive divisions that will be played out, and on Friday, August 31, there will be a champions tournament where the top contenders of the week-long event will battle over the World Amateur Championship Cup.
"We are proud to be able to provide a unique opportunity for the attendees of this tournament," says Carol Huff, PCS Manager of Membership & Partner Relations. "Our members are volunteering their time and support because they believe in the services professional clubmakers provide for golfers at all levels of play. This tournament is huge with golfers coming in from all over the world, and we are excited to be back in Myrtle Beach."
In addition, a raffle drawing will be held each night of the tournament with tickets available at the PCS booth. The raffle will feature numerous prizes, including of custom-made drivers, fairway woods, and putters. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Professional Clubmakers’ Society.
