ORLANDO, FLORIDA – October 11, 2007â?¦ Marriott Golf, one of the world’s premier golf operators and the world’s largest resort golf management company, today announced that Keith Grant has been named the Director of Golf at the Marriott Sprowston Manor Hotel & Country Club, an 18-hole championship course located in Norwich, England. In this position, Grant will be responsible for managing all golf operations for the club, including golf & grounds maintenance, food & beverage operations, and sales & marketing initiatives.
Grant brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent two years at the Fairmont St. Andrews in Scotland, as well as several years at Marriott Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire, England, where he served as Golf Retail Manager and Head Golf Professional, respectively. In addition, Grant has achieved various accomplishments as a professional golfer throughout his career.
Sprowston Manor’s 18-hole championship golf course runs through a beautiful landscape, offering guests stunning views of the surrounding Norfolk countryside. Proclaimed as one of England’s finest new golf courses, the course at Sprowston Manor went through a £1.6 million redesign in 2003 by Ross McMurray of European Golf Design. The course boasts several dynamic water features, most notably the ponds, weirs and fountains on the spectacular 361 yard, par 4, dogleg 7th, which runs alongside the impressive 200 yard oak lined driveway to the hotel. Nicknamed "No Right Turn," this signature hole requires an accurate tee shot, with a daunting lake awaiting any errant shot.
