Golf League Championship will offer both public and private club league golfers throughout North and South Carolina a chance to compete in a states-wide Championship
LITTLE RIVER, S.C. – The Carolinas PGA Section, in conjunction with the Golf League Network has developed a plan to bring league play throughout North and South Carolina to a whole new level. Giving leagues the opportunity to be centrally accessed from a new “league” web site, www.CarolinasGolfLeague.com, league golfers will be able to manage their stats, scores, schedules and general league tasks all from the comfort of a home computer.
League play is a great opportunity for golfers to compete and enjoy the game of golf. Two-person teams will have the opportunity to join up with the Carolinas Golf League Championship system through their regular league management, and from there each person in the league will be able to locate their schedule, stats, handicap and scores. The whole system is designed to allow them more control over their day-to-day league operations, with a flexible format that allows them to track their own statistics and scores as well as those of other players throughout the Carolinas Golf League Network, similar to a fantasy football league.
The system is inexpensive and makes it easy for everyone from league administrators to substitute players to get out on the course. A registration fee of $25.00 will be taken from each league administrator on behalf of the entire league. Once the league is registered, the cost per team member is $7.50. Requirements for league registration include having at least 20 golfers as well a minimum nine round schedule. From there, each two – person team will compete as usual, with the competitive goal of making it to the Carolinas Golf League Championship, which will be held in the fall at a world-class golf facility.
Executive Director, Ron Schmid, of the Carolinas PGA Section is excited about the possibilities.
“We really think this will give the public and private golfers throughout the Carolinas who enjoy league play, the chance to compete with each other in a friendly, fun environment with a great system in place to back up their data and manage their leagues.
It’s going to be a great way to develop rounds for our member Professionals and will also take some of the pressure off of league administrators in handling day-to-day league operations.”
