Schlesselman Named Media Coordinator For Duramed FUTURES Tour

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., April 1, 2008 – The Duramed FUTURES Tour, the LPGA’s developmental tour, has named Ben Schlesselman to the newly-created position of media coordinator.

As media coordinator, Schlesselman will work closely with each tournament’s on-site media to generate extensive coverage of the tournament, along with creating story ideas and features for local media coverage and the Tour’s website. Schlesselman will travel to all 18 tournaments in 2008 and be a liaison between for the media and the players.

“We are very excited to have Ben join our staff,” said Zayra Calderon, CEO, Duramed FUTURES Tour. “He brings to the position a strong understanding of the media and the types of stories they are looking for, along with a true understanding of women’s golf. He will be a big asset to both the media and players.”

Schlesselman, a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, has worked in the sports information departments at Iowa State University and the University of Florida. He also served as sports information director for the Athletes in Action Fire in the summer of 2006. The six-team Alaska Baseball League produced two first-round draft selections that year.
