ALEXANDRIA, VA – April 2008- The Club Managers Association of America is pleased to announce a new designation that will recognize managers who have demonstrated the ability to successfully serve as the most senior manager in a club. The Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation carries with it a set of minimum requirements that must be met and is separate from the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation, which is still the hallmark of professionalism within the club industry.
Club managers who qualify for the CCE designation must be active status members of CMAA, have achieved the CCM designation and have served as the top executive in a club (GM, COO, CEO) for a minimum of five years. In addition, candidates must have earned membership in CMAA’s Honor Society and have successfully completed Business Management Institutes IV and V.
“The Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation is meant to further distinguish the unique qualifications of the existing Certified Club Manager (CCM),” said CMAA CEO Jim Singerling, CCM, CEC. “This designation helps to position club managers on the leading edge in an increasingly demanding and competitive professional environment,” he continued. “CMAA is pleased to offer this program to recognize the top club managers in our industry.”
